Effective catalysts, having 20 % (wt) of active oxygen, for syngas production from APG were developed in the Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Reduced systems are fully regenerated by following treatment with air. Structural properties of these systems was studied by the XRD method and it was found that a size of metals particles and their oxides does not exceed 35 nm that is the necessary condition to achieve a reversibility of redox transitions. Regeneration process of reduced systems, containing cokes and without it, have been investigated by the TG-DTA method in air atmosphere. It was established that carbon dioxide and water vapor are effective oxidants. Use of developed systems opens up a new route for simultaneous processing of APG hydrocarbons into syngas. In this case energy consumptions are decreased sharply, there is no need for expensive separation of oxygen from air and formation of explosive gaseous mixtures is excluded.

Key words: natural gas, associated petroleum gas (APG), selective oxidation, synthesis gas, XRD analysis, nano structured metal oxide catalysts, active lattice oxygen, reversibility of redox transitions, regeneration catalysts, TG-DTA-method.
